LIN Ching-Hsuan’s artworks of experimental photography and videos often investigate the relationship between time and memory. Unidentified is an illustration of a liquid entity to convey routine events that happen in the real world everyday. The image shows a modern city dweller whose body started exhibiting different symptoms and reactions after coming into contact with an unidentified liquid. The city background constantly changes, switching between alien environments and familiar settings. LIN Ching-Hsuan uses this work to convey the sense of alienation brought about by modern cities and attempts to find a personal refuge in a constantly moving life.
