作品賞析
Chien-wei Ba-li is a member of the Puyuma tribe of Taitung. After the August 8, 2009 Typhoon Morakot disaster, he returned to his native home to relearn the tales and culture of various aboriginal peoples and created works that convey his concerns about the environment and natural ecologies. All Flow Away shows a piece of flotsam covered in bandages. The grains of the flotsam were used to create images of mountains, streams, and natural landscapes. The image shows toppled trees forced to drift along the river as a reflection of the destruction of the natural environment. The bandages, on the other hand, serve as a metaphor for healing the wounds inflicted upon the landscape. Chien-wei Ba-li uses creation to highlight his care for the land and silently voice his support for the underprivileged aboriginal peoples.
