TSAI Ken is skilled in combining different media, deriving artistic inspirations from everyday life to create works that can become part of regular lifestyles. Depend on Each Other is an assembly of two wooden portions of different shapes. One has a stable, tolerant form, while the other exhibits a rhythmic, flowing shape. The rounded wooden surfaces highlight the grains and textures on the surface, while dark wooden hues provide the audience with a warm visual sensation. TSAI Ken uses this wooden assembly to provide an artistic presentation with changes from the large to the small and from the stable to the fluidic states so as to seek interesting harmonies from various combinations.
