LIU Ling-Lie’s glue painting The Dew demonstrates the vitality of life, depicting bamboo shoots sprouting from the soil of undulating hills while basking in the warm and welcoming sunshine. The shoots are covered with sections of bamboo wrappings, revealing healthy growth ripe for the harvest. Once fully grown, the shoots transform into thin, elegant bamboo trees standing tall upon the land. Dew condensed on the bamboo trees and shoots are further transformed by the morning light into a hazy and sparkling coat of gold. LIU Ling-Lie uses a poetic narration to depict bamboo and the brilliant scenery of dawn in a novel presentation.
