CHEN Yi-Hung has focused on photography for many years. Missing Fact presents a mysterious surreal setting by means of digital photography. Three giant statues of Buddha sit in a forest covered in fog, making it hard to discern whether this view is one of fantasy or an actual location. Construction materials are stacked on the ground, forming a stark contrast with the rest of the scenery while bringing people back from the virtual dreamscape to the actual world. The faces of the Buddha statues were deliberately kept colorful to heighten the sense of absurdity compared to the blurry and misty environment. CHEN Yi-Hung uses this work to convey the virtual and actual elements of faith and religion.
