作品賞析
Eval Malinjinnan is a member of the Bunun tribe of Taiwan and uses art as a means to convey the beautiful culture and legends of the Bunun people. Tempo of the Moon depicts two Bunun women wearing traditional costumes against a bright red background. The rhythms of the bow harp and the friendly clapping song serves as an echo to the natural melodies of the moon. The full moon symbolizes the fertility and richness of soil, while the black bulbul bird resting nearby is regarded as the messenger of divine messages. The mountainous landscapes with blue skies and white clouds represent Jade Mountain, regarded by the aborigines as the nourisher of life. The entire composition symbolizes the Bunun people’s peaceful coexistence with nature.
