LEE Chen-Huei studies the movement trails of natural entities to investigate the astonishing transformations that life undergoes. Windy Waves is a work that depicts the changing atmospheric winds, clouds, and water. A landscape sketch was used as the basis before experimenting with various materials and the means by which such materials can be presented to the audience. The sizes of the grains in mineral paints were used to change the texture of the painting, using overlapping lines and brushstrokes of different intensities to create a turbulent image. The rolling lines appear like wave surges or clouds. LEE Chun-Huei creates a dreamlike landscape that includes virtual and realistic elements to showcase her personal understanding and experiences with the natural world.
