YEH Hua attempts to create dimensional containers of memory on the canvas, transforming emotional memory fragments into images with completely new interpretations. The Grooming Project-2 uses color blocks to assemble a strange world with no clear boundaries. In this place, windows and openings are used to connect different locations, demonstrating the possibility of exploration at higher dimensions. The ground surface is given a flat-colored base and then subject to grinding to reveal colors that appears like molten magma, instilling a sense of insecurity. YEH Hua creates an extra-dimensional realm exclusive to the artist’s memory. The artwork uses the concept of containers for carrying experiences and perceptions about life.
