LIN Szu-Ying uses sculptures as a medium of expression and generates artworks based on her daily experiences as attempts to communicate with the audience while conveying her personal mindset. “Daily Labrador” is a work from her Panoramic Series, and depicts a Labrador with two heads based on an everyday life image she captured using the panoramic function of her digital camera. The panorama function often fails due to the uncertainty of digitalization processes and the scene object, and she was forced to figuratively present the animal stuck between the picture frames by sculpture. The work is a metaphor for her stagnating life and creative career while reflecting upon a world flooded with excessive digital data and information.
