CHIANG Iuan-Hau is skilled in new media art creations and has always been interested in the human body, generating artworks that often portray the power and beauty of the dynamics of the human body as well as personal and emotional experiences. The artist hopes to further investigate the interaction between individuals and the community as well as between human society and nature. “Rivers” was a collaborative work in 2009 with Christian Rizzo, and an extension of an earlier work “il”. The Figure in the video moves its limbs and body to initiate intricate interactions with the surrounding objects. No one is a master or a guest. The body exists for the objects, while objects serve as extensions of the limbs. CHIANG Iuan-Hau uses the primal relationships between people and objects as the starting point for exploring the mutual relationships between people, crafted objects, and mutual integral coexistence with the objects.
