作品賞析

WANG Hao-Yu’s work, “Split”, is a composition of lines generated using innate energies of the body unleashed through a personal fear about life and the future. The work represents an attempt to acquire enough personal energy to deal with life and shift it back on track. Charcoal and gray fabrics were combined to generate a primal and simple composition to reduce too much interpretation. Emotional dialog was conveyed directly through simple black-and-white lines. The two conjoined characters shown in the picture are caught in the process of splitting, and both their bodies are covered with chaotic symbols and lines that symbolize the artist’s emotional state. These symbols may not carry any special meaning individually, but their interconnections generate new images that represent the journey of life and its attempt to seek external connections.
