DIN You-Wei is a glass artist and makes use of glass blowing skills to create various unique glass sculptures. “Relationship with Love Series – III” is an attempt to interpret interpersonal relationships. The waxy form demonstrates the varied plasticity of glass. Colorful patterns and lines flow harmoniously across the soft, undulating surface, twirling and merging together as one in the center of the gentle folds before spreading out in an organic and lively dance. DIN You-Wei believes that interpersonal relationships are dynamic and ever-changing like glass heated to high temperatures and must undergo patient and meticulous refinement and well-timed moments of freedom to maintain proper balance and rhythms. The artist entwines emotional and rational icons to project personal aesthetics to investigate beautiful relationships between two individuals.
