CHANG Han-Min is skilled in porcelain craft and provides a diverse selection of brightly colored artworks filled with human vitality, warmth, and rustic emotions. Village tales, folk legends, and surrounding events have always been an element in his work. Father and Son conveys the nature of a father’s love, and depicts a smiling father holding his child in his arms. The tattoos and patterns that cover the father figure are based upon the stained-glass windows of churches to symbolize a holy halo. CHANG Han-Min’s works have always been focused on families and homes, and uses minimalist and basic design forms derived from the land and his own person to create a sincere and local emotional link between culture and his nativity.
