CHUNG He-Hsien’s works use simulated imageries to emphasize the intuitive experience evoked amongst the viewers. Cloudless-14 seems to be an image captured in a museum. In truth, this image was created with 3D virtual graphics. The image shows two sets of gigantic fossils of ancient living organisms displayed in a fictional museum, complete with realistic textual descriptions and professional hardware and display equipment, and even video subtitles describing the scene. When facing with such a realistic creation, the viewer may find it difficult to determine the truthfulness of the display. CHUNG He-Hsien attempts to create a space of infinite possibilities, inspiring us to think about the unknown and explore our imaginations.
