作品賞析
CHO Ming-Shun’s pottery artworks include geometric shapes as well as interactive, game-like elements that incorporate his passion of astronomy, science, ecology, and nature. His works are often covered with mechanical symbols and even hidden mechanisms. Wild Plant Series: Lizard tail incorporated his observations of wild flora when he traversed Taiwan’s wilderness. The red clay brick seems to be covered with wooden carvings. A wild chameleon plant was painted within the white area of the pottery by using blue-and-white pottery painting methods. Pottery techniques are combined with Taiwan’s wild flora in an attempt to freeze Taiwan’s endemic wild plants in their most beautiful forms within CHO Ming-Shun’s work.
