Artist HOU Ting-Lin is known for illustrating observations of the microscopic world to portray a dynamic state of memory and time. Micro Cosmos 2013 features intrinsic strokes spreading across a flat canvas modeled after the shape of the Mandala flower and melding into different shapes inspired by the natural organization of plants and pollen observed under the microscope.
