KUO Chia-Ling uses art creation as a means to reflect upon the relationship between human behaviors and external entities. Sea Move shows a horizontal screen with a projected video of roaring waves crashing against the coast. Mechanical devices running along tracks installed behind the screen move horizontally to create ripples as though someone is brushing against the screen. The sound of waves in the night offers a serene atmosphere that evokes a desire to touch the waves, believing it to be a piece of soft fabric. KUO Chia-Ling took bodily response evoked when gazing at the sea and manifests it through this setup to investigate the relationship between bodily consciousness and desires.
