CHEN Han-Sheng links imaginations of the past and future to reflect upon environmental conservation. The animated work Restart starts from the relationship between people and nature and is concerned with the depletion of the natural environment. The story describes an imaginary scenario several centuries into the future. Humans have successfully modified trees for survival. Number 14, the main character, is a survivor responsible for harvesting fruits, and he has been having the same dream every day where a rabbit kept reminding him of damage being inflicted upon the environment. In the end, however, the earth was unable to avoid its destruction due to a runaway environmental disaster.
