CHI Kai-Yuan’s Circle Billiards is a work in his sports series where a sport with well-defined rules is transformed to investigate how a body would respond when facing disruptions made to a sport. The rectangular billiard table was transformed into a circular one while the rules remain unchanged. However, the way that the game was played is expected to become very different. CHI Kai-Yuan makes subtle changes to sports in order to create new forms of interaction between people and sport games. The body’s innate response to the environment was evaluated in order to investigate the relationship between space and body in a modern lifestyle.
