YEN Ning-Chih has sought a return to points, lines, and surfaces in creation, using simple colors, rhythmic illustrations, and elements of fashion design to create an imaginary world filled with life. Organs without Body No.19 was an attempt to use color, lines, and shapes to represent the powerful, self-sustaining energies of life. The composition generates a thick atmosphere of interacting color tones of black, red, and orange shades. Squares, strips, and rounded shapes were arranged in various patterns to form structures that resemble cells or blood vessel walls, growing and sustaining themselves upon the canvas.
