KE Chen-Chieh uses oil paintings to convey the prosperous views of farming back in the good old days where friendlier farming and harvesting methods were employed, allowing viewers to reminisce about the simplicity of childhood life prior to urbanization. Sweet Summer Tour shows a distinctively layered composition of blue skies, green leaves, and peeling white walls to reveal the red bricks underneath. Lush, green pumpkin vines spread across the concrete wall, yellow flowers attracting butterflies while heavy looking fruits hang along the wall to highlight the force of life. The entire picture recreates the sweetness and fine aromas that can only be provided by nature.
