HUANG Ying-Sheng is skilled in employing oil painting as a creative media to create everyday scenes. Overlooking the Mountains Maokong made use of layer stacking techniques. Different brushstrokes were employed to the foreground, middle-ground, and background, demonstrating the artist’s mastery of oil painting while providing a lively and realistic recreation of the beautiful mountain landscape. The mountain ranges observable from Maokong is clad in light, elegant grayish tones that gently relax the mind.
