HE Bo-Xing is an artist as well as a designer employing Japanese urban aesthetics to portray clean and simple environments. The work Human Shape shows a serene, gray-colored background. An irregular black hole suspended on the upper left part of the composition is surrounded by texts, while evenly spaced lines come together to form a contour of the human face viewed from the side, with lakes and other minor markings floating above the facial landscape. HE Bo-Xing uses various words used for people to breathe life into this artwork, integrating and transforming various key terms such as blindness, repetition, density, culture, settlements, construction, and purity into visual symbols manifested upon a canvas in order to express his personal opinions about “people.”
