The Fragrance of the Breeze is the manifestation of panel artist LIN Yang-Ling’s attempt in enamel artworks. Using enamel as the base, LIN Yang-Ling has illustrated a scene of a water lily pond in the night. The night sky, serene like a deep blue indigo sapphire, is reflected on the pond’s surface. Swaying above the water are lush and verdant water lily leaves and flowers nestled against each other, extending upwards, or drooping its head towards the water. Blooming flowers are scattered throughout this forest of water lilies, reflecting and basking in the moonlight. In addition to its native green and red, the water lilies have also been coated with layers of deep blue shadow or moon white. LIN Yang-Ling has used enamel to transform this seemingly common theme into a bouquet of brilliant yet tranquil colors, revealing her true and innermost emotions in the final results.
