HUANG Zhuan-Yu believes that water is the most important element of life, and has used water as a media for developing his photographs in an effort to contemplate the nature of time in both the media and the photograph itself as well as to explore the topics of photograph development, imaging, and microscopy. In H-O-H, HUANG Zhuan-Yu has presented 3 video recordings of the various forms of water during splashes, collisions, and explosions. Liquid water changes into different forms in response to the shape of the object it hits against. By exploring the many forms of water, HUANG Zhuan-Yu attempts to lead us to adopt an atomic perspective and world view on the composition of this world, using water collisions as a metaphor for the chaotic nature of the universe that harkens back to the most primal aspect of energy.
