作品賞析

WANG Chun-Chin works mainly with black and white photography and has been heavily influenced by the Japanese master photographer Shoji Ueda, giving his works a futuristic and story-like nature. After collecting and acquiring vast amounts of materials and knowledge, WANG Chun-Chin has created his own style, generating photographs that appear like painted artworks. In Plankton, WANG Chun-Chin has photographed sparse vegetation floating on water combined with a rainy setting. Drops of rain and plant stems penetrate the composition vertically, resulting in an abstract visual sensation. WANG Chun-Chin does not hope to generate realistic photographs, but instead aims to transform real objects into abstract and supernatural depictions to reveal the other aspect of modern photography.
