CHANG Yin-Huang is a photography skilled in capturing perfect compositions, identifying seemingly insignificant snippets of everyday life as materials for depicting scenes of Taiwan. In Search of the Picturesque Print, CHANG Yin-Huang has studied the coasts and how it forms little droplets of water as a result of natural ebb and flows of the tides. By using the mechanical lenses of the camera and unique photographic angles, CHANG Yin-Huang managed to capture the crystalized and sparkling bubbles laid out as meandering patterns upon the beach, created by prolonged exposure to direct sun. This is contrasted against the reflection of clear blue skies and a tourist holding a red umbrella upon a puddle. The result is a brilliant composition of colors and different shapes. CHANG Yin-Huang has used of acute observation skills and reflexes to capture this fleeting moment, containing a strange yet breathtaking scene of the earth and heavens within the limited area of a photographic slide to present a unique photographic tension.
