The Princess in You

Artist ZHANG En-Ci’s work, “The Princess in you,” features the princesses in classic fairy tales. She uses embroidery to replace brushes for the different prince images. However, the purity and goodness of the princess in fairy tale no longer exist. Behind the sweet smile of the princess are the naked female bodies with desire and extraordinary expression. ZHANG En-Ci discloses the personality clash and special contradicting dimension of people in modern society through these princes with seemingly beautiful appearance and yet the inner dark side.
